YOUR LOVE,
YOUR STORY

Knowing firsthand how special this moment is, and how nervous you may feel, my mission is to make you comfortable and be true to yourself.

Whether you are having an intimate wedding in a backyard or an elopement on a mountain top, I’m ready with my camera. All my focus is on you. It’s all about raw emotions, having fun, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO

It’s a job that never feels like work. It’s no two days looking alike. It’s working in the great outdoors, going on adventures all year long. It’s magnificent. It’s exquisite. It’s your love story, and it’s my privilege to document it.

THIS MAY BE THE BEGINNING
OF A BEAUTIFUL FRIENDSHIP

Hey, I'm Dylan! I started my wedding photography business in 2014 (yes, photography, you read that right). But I had this feeling that I wasn't maximizing how my brain worked. I wanted to take Harry Potter pictures - the kind that move. I wanted to hear your voice, watch you dance, and live it all again in a more vivid and emotional way. For me, that meant video.

The transition from photo to video was easy in some ways (I was already shooting manual ISO, aperture, shutter speed, and temperature so I just needed to learn video-specific tools like gimbals, audio, and flying a drone) and wayyyyy harder in others (OMG the editing learning curve was steep y'all). But while I'm always learning I also think I can say that, 4 years later, I'm on the other side. I've made it. I'm here, stoked about your big day, with all the gear and expertise to tell your story.

And that's what I plan to do.

CROSSLEY FILM CO

Crossley is my middle name. My parents were young and in love when I was born. Instead of choosing names from a baby book, they decided to name their little lady Dylan Crossley. My brothers and sister got all of the family names, but I kind of love that Crossley is uncommon. I think it suits me, and matches my support of less traditional ways to say ‘I do.’ OK, and I find it funny that people do a double take when they realize I’m not a dude.

(The name Crossley is also related to my photography business:

Dylan Crossley Photo.)

There are a few things we have to agree on before we work together:

LOVE IS LOVE.

Eloping is all about creating a safe space for you and your partner to be vulnerable together. I vow that no matter your race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity, I am stoked and honored to document your love.

PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT.

I create outdoors, and the outdoors are for everyone. I believe passionately in protecting the environment, leaving trails better than I found them, and I am a Leave No Trace aware photographer.
